Water, water, water!! This has been very important for me today. Yes it is day one, yes I am just getting started, but it is baby steps. And what better way to start, than increasing my water intake! I am self-admitting Diet Dr Pepper addict. It is really bad how much I feel like I need a soda with each meal. Or when I am thirsty I just reach for one because it is there. I work in a wonderful place that has an endless supply of sodas (seriously!). Although it is a nice gesture to be so kind as to supply the employees with free soda and snacks, it is the devil for me! I have had no willpower when it comes to giving up my Diet Dr Pepper. So today I had 5 bottles of water throughout the day and only 1 soda. 1!  That is HUGE for me! I have tried in the past to quit cold turkey, and that always turns out worse. I try to do too much at once and fall off the wagon, and fall hard! 
My other downfall is always feeling like I need something sweet after a meal. Tonight after we had dinner, I felt that sugar craving coming on strong. We have chocolate in the house, more than I would like to admit is here. We also have leftover chocolate birthday cake (yum!). Instead of giving in, I chose, you guessed it, water! I have heard before that a lot of times when you have food cravings, it is  just your body telling you it is thirsty. So I plan to fill my body with as much water as I can stand.
