Good Morning!
Today has started off very well, with the exception of me sneezing my head off every 5 minutes and the itchy eyes that come along with seasonal allergies. Pollen and the weather are kicking my butt, but not letting it get me down!
I started my day with a glass of water. I have read that you should always start the day with water before eating anything else. So I drank my water on my commute to work. When I got to work I cooked myself some oatmeal. In the past, my go-to morning routine included stopping by McDonald's for a Large Diet Dr Pepper (because let's face it, they have the best fountain drinks!) and a Sausage McMuffin or Sausage Biscuit. I realize how unhealthy this is, but it was easy and I didn't have to put much thought into it! Along with my oatmeal, I had a cup of coffee for some caffeine with a little bit of Horizon Organic half & half (shoutout to our awesome office administrator Tia, because she always gets the good kind!). And along with my coffee, I had more water!
Now I have to admit when I pulled that oatmeal out of the microwave and saw how little it was cooked down, I thought this is a bad idea, no way this will keep me full. I am happy to say, it was hard to even finish what I had! Oatmeal is very filling I have discovered! I will definitely be adding this to an option for a breakfast staple from now on.
